If these questions interest you, consider join the Feminist AI Research group.
AI technologies are notorious for their many unjust practices--stealing art, disregarding intellectual property, propagating a culture of non-consent, egregious water & energy usage, exploitative labor practices, and wealth hoarding. Given this reality, what do we do and make with AI tools? Is this a time for refusal, or engagement?

AI is the enactment of someone else's fantasy. We we will dream too, while also staying rooted. We will hold the materiality of information technologies such as AI and remember the tactile experience of bodies and technology as feminist scholars remind us. After all, loom inspired some of the earliest computers!
If you'd like to join, please fill out this form or show up in person! Filling out the form is required for remote attendees.
