Feminist thought and practice has the potential to change what we know and how we act to produce a better, more just world. The Feminist Collaboratory puts these possibilities into action.
FRI collaborates with HATCH: a feminist art & science shop to engage in projects that unite the arts, sciences, humanities, and social sciences around shared concerns. We are creating Feminist Makerspaces and Design Labs that take on community-defined problems and explore solutions generated through interaction between community members and FRI research affiliates.
FRI funds Collaboratory Fellows Programs for both faculty and graduate students. The Faculty Collaboratory Fellows program supports faculty engaging in feminist collaboration that exemplifies FRI’s four values of inclusivity, intersectionality, justice, and transformation. The Graduate Student Collaboratory Fellows program is designed to support graduate students with fully formed research projects or who are drawing on already established collaborations.
FRI's working groups engage in cross-disciplinary discussions and host events designed to explore new research directions.
