Sarah McCullough Named Director of Environmental Justice Fellows Program

We are proud to announce that FRI Associate Director Sarah McCullough will direct the newly-formed UC Davis Environmental Justice Fellows program. McCullough will work with campus transportation, energy and environmental researchers, as well as community activists and organizations to foster collaborative development within the environmental justice community on-campus and beyond.

Led by the UC Davis Institute of Transportation Studies and Energy (ITS), the Energy and Efficiency Institute (EEI), the Center for Regional Change, and members of the Transportation Equity and the Environmental Justice Advisory Group (TEEJAG), the Environmental Justice Fellows program seeks to improve research and policy by amplifying community expertise. McCullough will train, connect and collaborate with fellows and faculty from Winter through Spring 2022. Fellows from environmental NGOs, advocacy groups, and community-based organizations will work with faculty to immerse academic research and policy in critical community expertise, while also introducing UC Davis’s network of subject matter experts and researchers to environmental justice groups.
